Dr Hauschka Cleansing Cream & Dr Hauschka Cleansing Milk: Naturally Clean Skin

You are currently viewing Dr Hauschka Cleansing Cream & Dr Hauschka Cleansing Milk: Naturally Clean Skin

Dr Hauschka Cleansing Cream and Dr Hauschka Cleansing Milk are two cleansers that fit my recommendations for what to look for in a good skin cleanser:

  • Gentle
  • Do not strip away natural oils
  • Soap free

While it shouldn’t be difficult to formulate a cleanser with these specifications, many brands miss the mark adding soaps and fragrances that lead to skin that often feels tight and dry. Skin then requires a significant amount of moisturizer to make it feel well again. Some cleansers contain active ingredients such as alpha hydroxy acids or salicylic acid to provide exfoliation and as long as they don’t irritate skin it is fine to use them.

Both Dr Hauschka cleansers are gentle, with Dr Hauschka Cleansing Milk being the more gentle of the two formulations. This makes it ideal for skin that is dry, mature or sensitive. Acting almost as a two-in-one product, the Cleansing Milk is ideal as a make-up remover. It contains an assortment of ingredients including bentonite clay and anthyllis extract to help soothe and balance skin. In addition, Dr Hauschka Cleansing Milk is fortified with ingredients from a fermentation process that results in humectant (moisture attracting), anti-allergenic and anti-inflammatory properties. The result is skin that appears moisturized and more vital.

Dr Hauschka Cleansing Cream is suitable for all skin conditions. Sweet almond meal helps to provide gentle exfoliation while anthyllis, calendula, chamomile and St John’s Wort soothe skin.

Both Dr Hauschka Cleansing Cream and Dr Hauschka Cleansing Milk should be applied using the unique Dr Hauschka ‘press and roll’ method. This involves application of the product with a light ‘press’ followed by a ‘roll’ with your hands away from your face in a wave-like motion. The press and roll method is considered to be more gentle and less harmful to skin.

A great cleanser – soft on the face especially good for those delicate areas. I use it every morning before I apply my toner and find that it with a little bit of water mixed through a very small amount of the cream and applied to my face that it leaves my skin feeling soft and clean. I always use the Dr Hauschka face sponge to rinse it off with. I never have any skin problems because of this gentle cleansing product.
