If you’re interested in the health of your skin and body, you may be taking a range of supplements that you think are helping. Because of the way that supplements are regulated, some will help and others will provide little benefit. Unfortunately, what you may not know is that some may actually cause harm.

Consumer Reports has recently highlighted 12 dangerous supplements it calls the “Dirty Dozen.” Thought to treat conditions from gout to obesity to anxiety, they have been shown to cause major health issues, including cancer, stroke, liver damage and death.
The supplements in question include:

  • Aconite
  • Bitter orange
  • Chaparral
  • Colloidal silver
  • Coltsfoot
  • Comfrey
  • Country mallow
  • Germanium
  • Greater celandine
  • Kava
  • Lobelia and
  • Yohimbe.

    For all of you pregnant women out there the list is longer.

    please don’t take these:

    Vervain, Vitex, Wild indigo, Wormwood, Yarrow, Yellow dock

    google them for further information
