Just stumbled across your site. Love it. My dermatologist recommended La Roche Posay with Mexoryl (ecamsule) from Europe or Canada. As you know we can only get the ANTHELIOS SX 15 here.I live in Miami, and I am light skinned African American, Very light tan color. Very similar to the actress Thandee Newton’s coloring, except with freckles. I have hereditary freckles which increase with prolonged sun exposure. I am not boating or beaching much anymore. I have hyper pigmentation. I did have some significant laser treatments a couple of years ago to lessen some of the freckling. Worked very well,. It took about a year recovery for the puffiness and severe dark circles to lessen from the treatments. My under eyes still have some darkness. I am starting a prescription retin a and hydroquinone regimen. I like the 15 very much., but its a little low on on the SPF I also have the ANTHELIOS 40 MEXORYL SX which I do not care for due to it leaving a heavy white cast. I am interested in a higher SPF ANTHELIOS…I was wondering between the LAIT VELOUTE, ANTHELIOS CREME XL 60, or the XL FLUIDE EXTREME 50+, which you might think would blend best with my skin tone, and not leave a white cast? Also interested in trying that mama gel and the green..I will also be using the Skinceuticals CE ferulic serum and a hylauronic serum. Appreciate any feedback! Happy New Year!

      For Mignon,
Thank you for your blog comments and questions.
We are happy to hear that sunscreen plays a role in protecting your skin from further hyperpigmentation. For those of us with a darker skin tone, sunscreen that does not leave a white finish is key to continued use. My favorite right now would be the Anthelios XL SPF 50+ Comfort Creme (we are awaiting new stock from France), which is invisible and feels weightless on the skin. The next best option would be the Anthelios XL SPF 50+ Lait Veloute. We have found that neither leaves a white cast.
      Best, Sharmani
