La Roche Posay Hydreane

We’re used to customers calling for advice about sunscreens and skin treatments, and we love telling them about our favorites, but when we noticed that more than the usual number of customers were calling in and ordering La Roche Posay’s Hydreane moisturizer, we had to ask them: why?

At PhaMix, we’ve long been fans of this gentle moisturizer.  It’s much-loved by our staff’s tween daughters who like how it makes skin feel dewy and soft.  For those with eczema and a tendency to react to various soaps, creams and lotions, it makes sense to choose facial products that are made especially for sensitive skin.  La Roche Posay’s Hydreane is available in light (for normal/combination skin) or rich (for dry skin) formulations to suit most skin needs. When it comes to tween skin, Hydreane Light is absorbed quickly and leaves no greasy finish, or what one tween refers to as a ‘low goop factor’.

La Roche Posay’s Hydreane contains thermal spring water that, for the first time, is formulated in combination with Hydrolipids, a new generation of water carriers resulting in a moisturizer that reduces skin sensivity.  Hydrolipids are extremely gentle on the skin and have a natural ability to penetrate the skin’s epidermis. In addition to Hydrolipids, the thermal spring water sourced by La Roche Posay is rich in Selenium, a trace element that works as an antioxidant mineral to help fight free radicals.  Soothing, with anti-irritant properties, La Roche Posay thermal spring water has demonstrated a reduction in skin sensitivity.

As for the customers who are Hydreane fans, they tell us that as the weather becomes warmer, they’re looking for a moisturizer that will be light enough to go over their sunscreen and under their makeup without feeling too heavy.  And although not all of them have sensitive skin, they appreciate Hydreane’s gentle, paraben-free formula.

So, the next time we receive an order for La Roche Posay’s Hydreane, we won’t be asking why.  We’ll just be thinking: why not?

Wonderful post however I was wondering if you could write a litte more on

this topic? I’d be very thankful if you could elaborate a little

    bitfurther. Appreciate it!

Should sunscreen be applied first and then Hydreane moisturizer? And then a foundation?

      For Melanie May:
The order in which your skin care treatments should be applied depends on the type of sunscreen you are using. If your sunscreen is a chemical sunscreen, it goes on first (as close to your bare skin as possible), followed by a moisturizer and then a foundation. If you are using a physical sunscreen, it would be the last thing to be applied. Read more about how to layer your products in our blog post here. Hope this helps!
      Best, Sharmani
