The same values apply to our new range of essential oil and naturally fragranced soy candles. Delicately scented with essential oils and phthalate free fragrances, Apothekari Soy Candles are manufactured with soy wax that is completely natural, biodegradable, and vegetarian. These clean burning, non-toxic candles are made from renewable resources, and are safe around children and pets. Each Apothekari candle is individually hand poured and labeled in a wind-powered manufacturing facility. They are wrapped in tissue paper and presented in a glossy white box hand-tied with grosgrain ribbon – ready for gift giving or a little luxury for yourself. Each candle is 7 oz and burns for approximately 35 hours.
The Science? The scent and sight of a burning candle delivers more than just pleasure. Candles have been shown to stimulate the relaxation response – a technique pioneered in Western medicine by Dr. Herbert Benson at Harvard Medical School and which is known to help alleviate certain skin problems as well.
