According to a recent article, the condition is one that has existed in medical textbooks, but not commonly seen until now. Harsh cleaning chemicals and exotic wooden toilet seats are thought to be the culprits.
Many cases are seen by pediatricians with some children suffering for years before proper diagnosis. Treatment with topical steroids often resolves cases, but prevention is recommended as the most effective remedy.

Hey I think I have a very mild case of toilet Seat Dermatitis. I have had it for about a year and a half and first thought it was pimples but it has never gone away. I’m a 26 yr old male. What’s my 1st step to getting rid of it?

If you think you might have Toilet Seat Dermatitis, your first step should be to consult your doctor. A topical steroidal cream may be all that is necessary.
