Youth Code is a new anti aging skin care line recently introduced by cosmetics powerhouse L’Oreal.
While I’m never one to advocate products that contain secret ingredients, you may be interested to learn that Youth Code’s ‘secret’ is its patented Pro-GenTM technology or bifida ferment lysate, also known as probiotic bacteria. While there isn’t oodles of clinical research to support the benefits of probiotics in skin, some recently published research suggests that bifidobacterum (friendly bacteria) may help stimulate the skin’s ability to repair itself.
Youth Code doesn’t come with anything truly revolutionary (which skin care product does, really?), but in addition to the probiotic, the formulation does contain two antioxidants that come with terrific credentials. Vitamin C (as a stable ascorbyl glucoside) and Vitamin E are part of the line-up. They work together synergistically to help prevent the formation of free radicals and boost the protective effects of your sunscreen.
