Gary Mason’s recent article in the Globe and Mail – Boomers, Stop Ruining Facebook For Your Kids was an interesting read.
My kids are still between childhood and the teen years and they like (or at least seem to like) having me around – most of the time. They aren’t yet on Facebook but I know that the day they will be isn’t that far away. Will they want to friend me? Probably. And while they’re living at home and going to high school, I think it’s a good thing.
The day will come, however, when my ‘friendship’ will feel like an intrusion. I get that and hopefully will be able to accept it.
What do you think?
