Prevegyne ® Vitamin C Vaginal Tablets (6) helps to reduce/relieve the symptoms of non-specific vaginitis/bacterial vaginosis.

Prevegyne is characterised by a special formulation that releases the vitamin over hours to allow an efficient action and at the same time to reduce the risk of an irritation of the vaginal epithelium by high ascorbic acid concentrations. It represents a modern approach for the decrease of the intravaginal pH value and for the consequent inhibition of all bacteria that cannot grow in a low pH (≤ 4) environment. Therefore, bacteria like lactobacilli (major constituents of the normal vaginal flora), capable of reproduction even at pH values below 4, are favored.

Do not use Prevegyne if: You are hypersensitive to ascorbic acid (vitamin C) or to any ingredient in the formulation. You are pregnant or breastfeeding

Ingredients:

Medicinal Ingredient: Ascorbic acid (vitamin C) 250 mg.
Non-Medicinal Ingredients: Polydimethylsiloxane-Methyltrisiloxane-Copolymer, Lactose Monohydrate, Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose, Magnesium Stearate and Acetone.

Usual Dose:

The recommended dosage to help reduce/relieve symptoms of non-specific vaginitis/ bacterial vaginosis is one (1) Prevegyne ® vaginal tablet per day.

The recommended duration of treatment to restore physiological pH and normal vaginal flora is six (6) days.

If after six (6) days you are still experiencing symptoms or if your symptoms increase while using Prevegyne®, please consult your healthcare professional.

In the event that a tablet is accidently split, both halves should be used at once. For your comfort, insert each half by its rounded end.

How to Insert Prevegyne ®:

Wash your hands thoroughly before and after inserting Prevegyne® vaginal tablets.

Remove one (1) tablet from the blister package. To reduce the risk of breaking a tablet, apply localized pressure at the edge of the blister (avoid putting pressure on the center of the tablet). The tip of a spoon or a fingernail may be used to gently break the foil underneath the blister.

To ease insertion, it is recommended to tablets be inserted while lying down, preferably at bedtime.
Insert one (1) Prevegyne® tablet deeply into the vagina using the index finger and/or middle finger.
