    1. Sharmani

      A Louise:
Désolé, mais Steifel Laboratories ne produisent plus Doak Oil. Au moment, on n’a pas un alternatif disponible.
      Meilleurs voeux, Sharmani

Why has Doak Oil been discontinued?? It works!! I find it to be one of the most relieving products on the market!!!
Please tell me if I can by any items that have been returned from stores that use to sell it??

    1. Sharmani

      For Deena:
You’re not the only one who is lamenting the loss of Doak Oil from the market. We have yet to find out why this very popular product was discontinued by the manufacturer. Although we are no longer able to obtain further stock from our suppliers, we are keeping our eyes out for an alternative that will be as effective as Doak Oil for psoriasis sufferers.

After years of treating my psoriasis with cortisone, I had finally found a product without it. And now, I can’t find it anymore. It’s a pity.

I too lament the loss of a product Doak oil, that was truly effective. What is the formula, do you know. Thank you Possibly a compounding company can do it in bulk and the distribute to all in need. Can we all sign a petition requesting the return of Doak and Doak Forte. Maybe that would work to encourage them to re-introduce the products. Thank you

  8. john timmins

I would certainly sign a petition for Doak Oil Forte’s being reinstated, as my skin is now, after several months without it, about 200% worse than before. A life-changing issue, indeed!

Please god if you can find it I will be grateful. I am 60 and have had psoriasis since I was 18. I have had 7 derms. done it all and there is nothing else that relieves it but doak oil forte. i had bought a few bottles 1 1/2 ago. finished. went looking gone. it is a known fact that you have to take tar baths, i did when i was hospitalized several years ago. there should be something else similar somewhere. this is terrible and I am not sure why dermalogists have not done something, they not know.

Try to get a 10% oak oil compounded with mineral oil from a “compounding pharmacy.” The pharmacist might (or might not) ask for a note from your doctor, but he/she might not. it is worth a try.

  11. Joan Russell

sorry, of course I meant to say doak oil. the autocorrect changed the word.

  12. Mike

A lawsuit in CA is what took Doak and Balnetar off the market. I’ve been using Psorent topical oil and it seems to work, not as well, but it works. Good luck to all.

Why oh why do they always discontent something that works well and improves the lives of those who count on it?

  14. Tab

I have psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis and neutrogena sesame body oil works really well since they stopped this, you DONT RINSE IT OFF though… My dad recommend it to me last year, It’s not prescription and I use it morning and evening and so far I don’t have a single negative thing to say it’s worked fantastically for both of us AND it’s not dangerous and doesn’t Mae you sensitive to the sun. I was on immune suppressants and had an allergic reaction and had a HUGE flare and had to wait before starting anything else and this was a life saver, the itching was so bad I couldn’t sleep

This is the only product that worked amazing in my son’s skin since he was a baby. I am so so sad that they took this off the market. He is now 11 years old and still battling very bad eczema. We use Aveeno cream, but doesnt really help at all. My nephew also has this problem and as a baby was prescribed steroids to battle his eczema problem. I hope they put this back in the market. I hope a blackmarket where we can buy this is available and I will buy an entire lot.

  16. ELISA FEDER

Can I buy Doak Oil From You?

    1. Sharmani

      For Elisa,
Unfortunately, Doak Oil has been discontinued by the manufacturer and is no longer available. We are considering some alternatives and hope to have some available soon.

Doak Oil is now rebranded under virtually the same bottle and packaging as Derm Oil from dermtek.com. 10% c/t works great.
